Natalia Rehling, an esteemed Yamaha artist and distinguished Polish-Austrian pianist, renowned for her profound connection to the music of Frédéric Chopin.

Hailed by the *Online Merker* as “the leading Chopin interpreter in Austria,” Natalia Rehling captivates audiences with her breathtaking virtuosity, brilliant runs, and analytical depth, bringing transparency and creative power to her performances. Her recent debut with members of the Vienna Philharmonic, perfoming Chopin´s piano concerto in E Minor, Op. 11, marked a pinnacle in her piano carreer.

She is a prizewinner of many prestigious international piano competitions. The most important moments in her career were winning the first prize at the 4th International Chopin Competition in Marianske Lazne (Czech Republic, 2001) and winning several special awards at the 14th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2000.

The above mentioned awards opened many concert hall doors around the world: Mrs Rehling has been performing numerous solo concerts as well as giving performances with orchestras and chamber ensembles since then.

She has worked with conductors such as Andrey Boreyko, Jan Krenz , Lukasz Borowicz; Michael Rohac, Roman Valek, Leos Svarovsky, Marek Kudlicki and Daniel Auner.

In Austria she performs at the Musikverein Vienna, the Wiener Konzerthaus, Yamaha Concert Hall, Mozarthaus Vienna, Bösendorfer Saal, City Hall of Vienna, Austrian Parliament and in the collection of historic musical instruments in the Imperial Palace Vienna.

Natalia Rehling graduated with distinctions from Music Universities in Poland and Austria. Her music masters were Ewa Poblocka, Noel Flores and Johannes Kropfisch. She excelled her piano skills under the guidance of outstanding artists: Vladimir Ashkenazy, Robert Levin, Andrzej Jasinski, Matti Raekallio, Victor Merzhanov, Murray Perahia, Halina Czerny-Stefanska, Dominique Merlet and Seymour Lipkin.

Mrs Rehling’s extended repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music, with a particular passion for premiering new works (e.g. Wien Modern Festival, Chopin Festival in Gaming), including those dedicated to her by contemporary composers.

Her performances, broadcasted across radio, television and worldwide streamings, have also been featured in documentaries showcasing her interpretations of Classical and Romantic repertoire on modern and historical pianos.

Mrs. Rehling’s interpretations on original fortepianos, including Beethoven’s concert cycle in 2020 and Mozart piano duos in 2023 in the collection of historic musical instruments (Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna – KHM), reflect her deep commitment to historically informed performance.

A landmark achievement is her world-premiere recording of Chopin´s works on an original Conrad Graf fortepiano for the Kunsthistorisches Museum’s CD edition (paladino music), a historic milestone in phonographic history.

Critics consistently praise her artistry. *Der Tagesspiegel* lauded her as “an outstanding Chopin player,” noting her mastery of sparkling arpeggios, transparent scales, and virtuosic Mazurka rhythms, coupled with a seamless legato in delicate passages. Another critic described her as “a brilliant, gifted pianist,” her timing and phrasing ” a feast for the ears, ”evoking rapturous applause and emotional responses from audiences. Her contributions to Austria’s cultural landscape earned her the prestigious Golden Owl award.

The performances of Natalia Rehling are distinguished by her natural performing manner, reflecting her artistic credo that each work can be rediscovered anew. Her unique personality in combination with her excellent technique and her spirited interpretation draws even greater attention of the international public.

She teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and is a Vice President of the International Chopin Society in Vienna.
